Nicolas Deschamps would not be denied at the plate when runners were on base on Friday, driving in four on two hits to lead TNXL Academy Ducks 18U past Lake Sumter 12-6 on Friday. Deschamps drove in runs on a grand slam in the ninth.

TNXL Academy Ducks pulled away for good with six runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Yohann Dessureault singled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs, Luke Dickerson homered on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs, and David Baillio’s sac fly scored one run for TNXL Academy Ducks 18U.

The TNXL Academy Ducks 18U struggled to contain the high-powered offense of P27 Blacksmiths, giving up ten runs.

Roman Kimball toed the rubber for P27 Blacksmiths. The righthander lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out six.

Jaylen Jones was on the mound for TNXL Academy Ducks. The lefty allowed zero hits and four runs over two innings, striking out two.

Nicolas Deschamps, Luke Dickerson, and Ashton Wilson each collected one hit to lead TNXL Academy Ducks.
